We all need to dream right?
Anyway, this being the stock market discussion section, I thought it might be interesting to share, and hear about others' portfolios... no need to divulge portfolio sizes of course, but would be interested in hearing:
- Percentage of portfolio in individual stocks:
- Holdings (specific companies):
A few of the posts do not really seem to fit the purpose of this thread, which is asking about ownership of individual stocks.
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

Excuse me, but "Money Owed" is an asset??Viralriver wrote: βFri Feb 04, 2022 7:15 am I keep track of it in an Excel sheet, and this is what it looks like right now. Definitely more on the high risk side, and hoping to balance the stocks -> index/mutuals at some point a little more.

I highly recommend playing around with it, it gives you an entire portfolio view.
Once a month all I need to do is update
1. Shares purchased
2. Current cash holdings - debt (via moneytree)
This take 2-3 minutes to do.

Going down with the ship? Why are you still holding this if you don`t mind me asking?

Haha, not one of my best buys. I have since sold, and took a 40% loss for my trouble. I still believe in their hydrogen vision for long-haul trucking, just couldn't deal with the potential fraud issue back then, which they seem to have (almost? perhaps?) come through.
It's funny looking at my individual stocks, I have 10 companies, and five are up and five are down. It's perfect... might as well have flipped a coin or put it all on black. Contrast that with my index investments, all of which are up and looking very healthy.

Haha I wondered if someone would spot that. It's within a group of very close friends where we log expenses during trips and then at the end of the month just sort out who owes who what. Never had a problem getting the cash back, and it just makes settling payments on trips easier (i.e. one person paying the full dinner bill, etc).captainspoke wrote: βSun Feb 13, 2022 10:04 amExcuse me, but "Money Owed" is an asset??Viralriver wrote: βFri Feb 04, 2022 7:15 am I keep track of it in an Excel sheet, and this is what it looks like right now.
