LOL. I have been there so many times looking for work shoes that fit. Sadly, no luck. Trainers/sneakers in Japan come in larger sizes in some places but for business shoes I have had trouble. Over 27cm/27.5cm and it seems 15,000 or 20,000yen shoes are all that is available.
Actually I just realised the advantage of using a credit card over a Wise card overseas despite the higher FX rate of a credit card - fraud protection. Credit card companies will refund you if there are fraudulent transactions whereas I doubt Wise would do that.adamu wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 4:50 amExactly. The loaded rate is is usually multiple times more than the points you earn. If it's not please tell us so we know which one to use.AntarcticFinance wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 10:13 am What's the advantage of using your Wise card in the UK over a Japanese credit card? I guess the FX rate would be worse with the CC, but on the other hand that might be offset by the points you accrue on your credit card (miles etc.)
