I'll dig up this old thread as I will soon be in the same position. I will be able to access my pension pot ate the end of this year, one of the options includes the 25% cash free payout.
Now it maybe tax free in the UK, not sure what Japan would think about it. Ricardo did you sort this issue and could you share the result?
