We have a full Western size gas oven and grill. Unfortunately it’s American and has “Bake” and “Broil” modes. One Christmas I absent minded set it to Broil and spent two hours grilling the turkey. The top looked great, crispy and golden….. the bottom… completely raw.
There was quite a bit of cursing that Christmas…
But we do have a combi desktop microwave oven that is used 95% of the time and my wife has done roast chicken and potatoes in that. The key is to take the chicken out early and blast the potatoes on maximum heat (for us 240 C) for 20-30 minutes to really crisp them up.
