My vote is that unless this ties into Japan somehow, there's no need for another crypto wall of text thread here. This is all general stuff that could be on any forum.

Yeah, I kind of agree now. Unasked for explanations are not really what this forum is about.
I'll leave this up for now but will consider deleting the whole thing if it continues in this vein.

The Gamsestop Discussion thread was treated with more lenience.
Yeah, but this thread was someone who joined the forum, then within a couple of hours created this thread and posted multiple long answers to people who were not asking questions. At least the Gamestop thing was a more natural conversation between existing members.
I tend to err on the side of trusting people, but I don't want this forum to lose its magic.

Fair enough indeed. I was tempted to refute many of OP's points which I feel were made in bad faith, but I will let it alone.

I've nothing against people wanting to take a punt on crypto and discussing it here, but the OP reads like pure spam to me.
Also, as a 70s child, I found this part especially grating...

To learn about and understand the importance of Bitcoin, you may have to unlearn a lot of your established views of money, investing and how the financial system works -
particularly if you are over 40.

As someone who is over 50, I will contentedly ignore Bitcoin and all other such things until forced to recognise it (and fully understand it tbf…) if it becomes meaningful to my everyday life.

I'm not against bitcoin, and some aspects of it are intriguing.
But those videos (and even some proselytizers)... they could learn a lot just by listening to offshore financial advisors.
(tho the coarseness could be part of the schtick)

Videos like those are a significant part of the reason that I won't touch crypto.
Michael Saylor is the CEO of MicroStrategy (MSTR), a billion dollar company with its entire balance sheet in Bitcoin. Saylor (an MIT grad) wrote The Mobile Wave, in which he predicted the rise of the mobile / smart phone years before they became mainstream.
Anyway, I recommend watching them if you have time.
Michael Saylor - the biggest loser of the dot.com bubble, his MIT graduation didn't help that much. And history will repeat itself here

You're a bit late, Ethereum is the future.
At the risk of re-activating craig, here's a timely post about this by the Escape Artist.
