Yes, Adamu is quoting the wrong fund.

Rakuten/Vanguard US Equities has a cost basis of 0.1620% and a real cost of .209%

Rakuten Global Equities has a cost basis of .193％ and a real cost of 0.246％.

I've posted that I'm not a fan of that Rakuten fund a lot in the past, but I'm not sure I'd switch iDeCo provider over it.

If you were stuck with only high cost options then it would be different, but as you said the risk and cost of moving is probably not worth it in this case.

I guess it's partly an emotional decision too. Are you going to be happy knowing you're in the (currently) nicest option available, even if it's not the best financial decision in the sort term? Is sticking with Rakuten going to stay in the back of your mind, or will you just be able to forget it?

I think I will keep things as they are.

However, I must say Monex seems to have pretty good customer service.

I may start using them for my taxable investments.

Perhaps I should open up an SBI account now?

SBi - > Tsumitate NISA　 -ＳＢＩ・全世界株式インデックス・ファンド
Monex - > Taxable - eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式（オールカントリー)

Irritatingly both Monex and SBI use that weird name (三菱U国際スリム) instead of calling the funds eMaxis Slim -if I had 100 yen for each time someone got confused by it my unemployment next year would be looking a lot better

100yen for those would compound your investment a bit, wouldn't it?
