https://top.nrkn.co.jp/dcnrk/role.html looks like it explains it. First I've heard of either of these! Interesting.

JRKN is not a broker. They administer iDeCo accounts.

That's... what brokers do :)

Does this only deal with institutional clients?

Thanks all for the responses. Although I'm no clearer to understanding; if/how I can claim tax relief for the 2020 payment or where to view the schedule of future payments.

I did actually make the initial request for iDeCo via Rakuten. But I didn't select to have a rakuten account at that time and I think that's were I strayed from the reservation and the wild cats at JIS&T caught me.
So I suspect the ideco offerings I have available are the Rakuten ones. And as I have no Rakuten account I have to access via the JIS&T "platform".

I'm mentioning this so maybe the thread will be useful to someone else. Like a theive's head on a spike near a settlement. Only more grotesque.

So last night I bit the bullet and started to create a Rakuten, Rakuten 証券 and Rakuten銀行 accounts. Maybe it will be a simple drag and drop to move control of ideco across once those is in place.

Anyway. I suspect this will be resolved in no time at all. The online registration was effortless and I totally didn't need to make up completely new katakana names for myself several times during the process due to; excessive number of names, excessive length and even illegal charaters!
Still. At least we avoided using the troublesome one displayed identically on my passport, driving license, mynumber and resident card.

Not having a Rakuten account could explain the zeros on your 確定拠出年金お取引状況のお知らせ.

Whilst you wait for your Rakuten-sec account to open, have you checked here? https://www.jis-t.ne.jp/dczws000/o3w

I think you can actually log into your iDeCo here and maybe even manage funds on it (not tried myself but could be worth a try).

If you can get into your JIS&T account and can see the contributions resting in there, then you should be able to maybe use that as proof of contributions for the tax office?

Thanks Chris.
Yes. As mentioned in my initial post, I am using the JIS&T app like the massive 8-bit gaming hipster wannabe that I am.
And there is evidence of the purchase but it's in January 2021 so zero evidence of any payment in 2020.
So no evidence to present to the tax office for my 2020 return.

Can I ask a question in advance of my getting Rakuten access in place.

Can you see your iDeCo future payment schedule anywhere online with Rakuten?

UPDATE:
I was able to get a Rakuten account created and can see/control my iDeCo account from there.
It's not monochrome like the JIS&T site! Hopefully my vision will adjust in time.

There is no information about the deposit schedule that I can see so I guess that's just something people track offline.
