Just a reminder that the deadline for NISA contributions is coming up.
Rakuten just informed me that they withdrawing funds for next year's purchase on the 14th, for delivery on the 24th. This is for 2021s NISA.
If you have space left in your NISA/Tsumitate you should probably contribute asap.
SMBC says that "国内株式の年内受渡しは、2020年12月28日約定分までです" I assume foreign stocks order need to be in BEFORE that date.
I believe each broker is a bit different.
December - Top of your NISA ASAP.

Re: Warning - Top of your NISA ASAP.
This page says that funds delivered this year will go into your 2020 NISA and you can order investment trusts into the last week of December: https://www.rakuten-sec.co.jp/web/info/ ... tml#skip01
I've just looked up last year's data and my last contribution for 2019 was ordered on December 21st, set on the 24th and delivered on the 30th.
I do my tsumitate daily not monthly, so perhaps things are different.

A bit dramatic. From the title I thought something strange was happening, not run of the mill end of year stuff.
Re: Warning - Top of your NISA ASAP.
I suppose it is alarming the first time through. Those waiting for their December paycheck to top-off may get left out in the cold.
Funds with international holdings take longer to process too.

sorry if this is a really basic question, but i just started this month at 月/1000... how do i top it off? is it under the 「今年のつみたてNISA枠を最大限利用する (増額の設定)」option? or under the ボーナス設定? thanks for the help!
Re: December - Top of your NISA ASAP.
What broker are you using? Yes, the Bonus function is usually how you top off.
Here is a thread on how to do it on Rakuten.
