I already pay 10,000 yen per month into a company DB pension scheme, but due to the low returns, I am also looking into starting my own iDeCo, even if I can only pay in 12,000 yen a month or so, (due to already paying into the DB scheme). I already have an SBI account, through which I have a NISA (soon to be converted to a つみたてNISA). I have a Rakuten Shoken account too, but have not been using it at all.
I am considering opening up a Monex iDeCo account so that I can get access to the "eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(オール・カントリー)".
My NISA already contains 100% "eMAXIS Slim 全世界株式(オール・カントリー)". I am going to set it up soon (from January 2021) so that 20,000 yen per month is deducted from my bank account and automatically used to buy this fund.
If I go with Monex, I'll thus be putting 12,000 yen into the fund using iDeCo, in addition to 20,000 yen using the つみたてNISA.
Is it better to diversify more?
Would you also buy into the very same fund through the iDeCo if you were me?
I am a newbie to investing, and just want something easy to maintain and not so risky....
Thanks!

Re: Rakuten or SBI or Monex
Just to add on to my post above....
I am in the process of signing up to Monex for their iDeCo account.
I came to this screen:
https://ibb.co/8mR9VrH
I am not sure what each option is asking....can anyone help?
Is it asking if I want to transfer money from, and close down, my existing company 確定給付企業年金? Of if I want the Monex iDeCo in addition to my 確定給付企業年金?
If so, that might be an idea. My company's 確定給付企業年金 is very risk-averse and the returns after 20 years are low.
I was under the impression, however, that once opened, you cannot close a 確定給付企業年金 until you retire...?
I personally don't think it is worth having both the 確定給付企業年金 and the Monex iDeCo....
If I have just the Monex iDeCo, I think I can pay in more each month. Right now, I think the maximum I can pay in is 12,000 yen per month, since I already pay 10,000 yen monthly into the 確定給付企業年金.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Rakuten or SBI or Monex
Looks like you want option 1 "I want to start an iDeCo account".
2: I want to move my company pension (convert to iDeCo after moving jobs etc.)
3: Move my existing iDeCo to Monex.

Re: Rakuten or SBI or Monex
I would be tempted to go with Monex so I can get access to Emaxis Slim funds with iDeCo.
I am a little sour that I am stuck with Rakuten wrapped VT.
My wife is with Mizuho and only has access to たわらノーロード funds.
Neither is a "bad" option, but Emaxis is superior in cost.

Waiting for your report on the experience of transferring an iDeCo to Monex.Kanto wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 1:57 am I would be tempted to go with Monex so I can get access to Emaxis Slim funds with iDeCo.

I should do the math to see if the 2 or so months' worth of missed contributions would be worth it. (I contribute 68,000 a month).adamu wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 5:12 amWaiting for your report on the experience of transferring an iDeCo to Monex.Kanto wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 1:57 am I would be tempted to go with Monex so I can get access to Emaxis Slim funds with iDeCo.

It's probably worth it for the peace of mind, as long as the transfer process isn't a nightmare.

Re: Rakuten or SBI or Monex
I switched to Monex a few years back for the eMAXIS funds (and a failed attempt to be able to see my iDeCo and other investments all in the same account). A little about it here in anyone is interested in the timeline: viewtopic.php?t=108
