E-Tax payment

Hello,

I did my taxes for the first time using E-Tax and everything went somewhat smoothly.
However, at the end of the session I just got a confirmation screen with my information but no payment link, receipt or anything like that.
I figured I would get a confirmation by email but after 2 weeks I still haven't received it.

Should I contact the tax office directly to ask for it or should I just wait?

- What Kind of E-tax did you use? Usually in one of the last steps you can choose the payment option.
- And was the conclusion, that you have to pay something?

I used the browser etax option here : https://www.e-tax.nta.go.jp/
I had to fill in my number card using the IC card reader and everything worked.

Yes it gave me the amount to pay but no payment options.

I am not a 100% sure, if it is the same if you send the tax electronically (I dont have an IC-Reader),

But when you switch back to the greenish screens, on the top there is the

納付について

あなたの納税額はxx,xxx円です。

And above is in the green square with the amount you have to pay.

Below that you have a green button for creating the paperwork for an automatic bank transfer, then a button for paying at the combini via QR-code.

The other options (that you cant select here) are then paying via Internet banking (電子納税, I never did that so I think there is an additional setup necessary), or via credit card (costs extra, and the start seems to be another site). And the last option would be just paying at a counter.

My guess is, if you didn't do anything then it will be probably paying at the counter.

I followed your advice and there was actually an inbox in which I had a notice for the payment!
I just directly paid it by credit card since the fee was only 300yen.
