Is income from solar panels taxable?

As the title says. Wondering if I'll have to report the income from solar panels. I assume the answer is yes but wondering if people have some details, e.g. can I report the solar panel themselves as an expense somehow?

A quick Google says:

You can deduct the initial cost for up to 17 years.
Profits over 200k are taxable.

I didn't look into it to work out the fine details.
