Is there any list available of the income / corporate tax rates across Japan prefectures and municipalities? I am interested to know the Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas etc of Japan.
Also, I have heard that certain districts have benefits over others as well like free hospital visits, discounts on hotels, etc (Saitama?). Any info on these appreciated as well.

I don't think there is much potential for tax arbitrage in Japan
Most of the taxes are standard. I think there is minor variation in terms of health insurance payments, local taxes? and perks, as you mention.
Anyone know more about this?

But go out a little more, and land/house prices are considerably cheaper. In the US media, there are often articles about and lists of "the ten best cities (states) for retirees". Has anyone seen anything similar for Japan? Rather than taxes, these might focus on livability--lifestyle, costs, not needing a car (getting along on public transport), etc. Here in Japan, it may also be that parts of some cities are particularly good
