I'm curious if anyone has had the experience of applying for a home loan while paying of a リボ払い at the same time? Will the loan rate be higher? Straight up get a denial?
I've been looking at this property which is within my means but I'm getting a bit FOMO on whether I should jump the gun and apply for the loan or wait when Ive fully paid my リボ払い dues...
I've waited for like 5 months already and no one has snatched the house yet but I've seen it go to 商談中 a couple of times already hence getting FOMO.
Most of my assets are in funds and I'm not too liquid but can get the money out if needed (prefer not to). One thing thats been eating my liquidity is mainly because I've been paying off my リボ払い statements which I plan to pay in bulk in 3 months time.

It definitely shows up on your record as outstanding debt. Not sure if it's considered a black mark or not but best case is the bank sees it as neutral and not positive that's for sure. I would recommend to paying it off as early as possible before applying for your loan. The loan process, much like immigration, is a black box and different banks have different standards.
You could do a credit check on yourself and see if anything shows up if you're worried:

Guess despite the FOMO best way to go about it is to not do anything impulsive!
