Japanese Yen savings interest rates

Does anyone know any good websites which monitor best current/savings account and time deposit interest rates here in Japan?

I guess there has not been a great need for these in the past!

However, now with rates off the zero bound I guess I should shift some cash into products with a little yield. ChapInTokyo mentioned 1.2% at SBI. Any others >1%?

Tl;DR there's nothing above 1% that's not a short term campaign or restricted to new accounts.

Bit hard to look at the main table on my smartphone but I’ll check it out at home tonight.

I guess the rates offered will nudge higher over this year, just need to work out how much yield pickup I’ll need vs my current account (0.2% from March) to overcome the inertia of doing nothing!

My wife opened one of the SBI campaign accounts for new customers last month. Top of the list Adamu posted a link to. At 0.85 fixed for a year it's not wonderful but passed the inertia test for us.

Further to the higher BOJ short term interest rate, SBI Shinsei have decided to nudge their Diamond Stage current account interest rate up to 0.40% (the automatic translation came out as "yen savings deposit" but this is actually 円普通預金= yen current account).

This is a pretty good deal I'd say, considering they give you Diamond stage if you link your SBI Securities account to the SBI Shinsei Bank account via SBI Connect. No pesky requirements to invest in the bank's financial products!
