At last, the 税制改正 outline was announced today, and it contained the new figures for ideco contributions that I’ve been talking about. Great news.

Haven’t yet seen information regarding the date of implementation.

No fixed start date yet.
This writer suggests Jan 2027 might be the most realistic.

Still nothing about kyosai payers or dependent spouses, eh? Have they just been left out this time?

Regarding dependent spouses, this is purely a personal guess, but they might have been left out because the government wants them to go out and work given labor shortages…so a kind of negative encouragement.

With regard to kyosai, I would need to look up this word. Maybe connected with civil servants and their pension?
