Buying mutual funds with a credit card will get you (a few) points. There is not really any downside as long as you pay the credit card bill in time.

The only downside is that it takes over a month to process one setup, and to cancel once setup.RetireJapan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 9:40 am Buying mutual funds with a credit card will get you (a few) points. There is not really any downside as long as you pay the credit card bill in time.
If you want to use bonus functions, (SBI/Rakuten/Monex), you cannot do so with a credit card.

The bonus function allows you to fill your tsumitate portion of NISA by paying in extra if your monthly payments do not add up to 1.2 million yen. Most people do not need to worry about it. Just pay in monthly
