Used to get stopped once every few weeks in the part of Tokyo I used to live in.

One company I worked at, they stopped me sometimes as I neared my company office. I asked my white colleagues if they had been stopped too, and they said “Absolutely not!” Guess they live in a different world.

Well, i guess bike theft isn't just a problem in Japan. But I can put up with being stopped. With the new laws coming in they'll have more reasons to stop people. I guess the police in some countries have no time to investigate crimes. I think for my sanity, I will look for the good points.
Count ourselves lucky we live in Japan, more chance of getting your stollen bike back here than in the UK.
