Re: tsumitate nisa
You can only place 100k a month into the Tsumitate portion of the New NISA (unless you do the bonus trick but that's outside of the scope of this post).
Go here:
https://fund.monex.co.jp/detail/0331418A
Press the orange button 購入・積立
Click on the 3rd red button 積立の申込
Put in how much you want to buy per month and make sure the radio button is set to NISA

thanks for your kind patience..
i am going to try with the bonus to see how much of it i can put in right away..
is the all country the one people advise to go for?

Re: tsumitate nisa
The all country or S&P500 is always a good choice. Most people don't want to actually give recommendations since we don't want to be responsible. What I will say though is that I do tsumitate for all country in Rakuten.

Re: tsumitate nisa
Neither is a bad choice, the former is more diversified.
Re: tsumitate nisa
sorry to dredge this up again from the depths..
however,i am investing for all family members in the nisa full amount and its mostly all going into the all country fund(with some in the
emax S+P and the all country without japan funds)
so my question is should i diversify into other funds for future nisa investments?
i know the fund itself is quite diversified but wondering if there are any other choices or do people just think the fund is diversified enough to spread risk etc?
cheers

Depends on what you are trying to do.bryanc wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 1:59 am sorry to dredge this up again from the depths..

Diversifying by buying more funds that contain the same investments is not really necessary. If you want to diversify you would need to buy different asset classes.

Re: tsumitate nisa
Sounds like you need to either read a couple of books, or you don't need to buy other asset classes.

For most people, recommending they read a few books and report back can be a bit dismissive.RetireJapan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 3:46 amSounds like you need to either read a couple of books, or you don't need to buy other asset classes.

I would say do not bother with asset classes. Buy the entire market. “Just buy the haystack”

Your preference in haystack may vary. S&P500/CRSP US Total Market Index/MSCI ACWI/FTSE ALL CAP/Kokusai.
These haystacks or "indexes" are tracked and closely followed by different mutual funds and ETFs in Japan and abroad.
All those are fine choices. I would go with the MSCI ACWI via Emaxis Slim All Country
