Re MUFG NISA Account

Post by garyrobert2 »

Hi

I've been paying into my NISA account on the MUFG app and website for the last year. When setting up the Tsumitate portion, I think might have made a mistake on how much I'm depositing into the account each month, confusing the growth and tsumitate parts. As a result, I think I'm depositing too much each month. I was wondering how I could cancel one of my monthly deposits on either the MUFG app or their website. Nothing on there seems obvious to me.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

Not sure if we have too many MUFG users here.
Ben has been nudging people towards the 'big 3' online brokers for years, and most people appear to have taken that advice, or come to the same conclusions themselves.

Usually, the websites have more functionality than mobile apps. If you go into your tsumitate order section, is there not a way to cancel your order? That is what I would do with Rakuten.

Otherwise, good luck with MUFG customer support.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I tried to sign up for some of those but got scuppered by the sign-up process. Not sure if it was my long middle name that threw the Japanese system, but I found it impossible to join them. When MUFG released their app a few years back, it was easy to join them as I was already a member of the bank. No need to sign up! I'm not sure how it compares to the others, but I've found it relatively pain-free - until now that is.

I've tried on their website, but nothing seems obvious. There is a contact number, so I feel that is the way.

Thanks again for reaching out and offering advice!

No worries...if you post some screenshots of the screens you think might have the needed function, maybe someone can help.
Or perhaps we have other MUFG users here. You can't be the only one, surely.
You could also try a google search in Japanese to see if one of the Japanese financial bloggers has covered it, maybe?

I ended up just going into the bank and asking for help. The controls are on the MUFG app but just buried deep in the system. I managed to sort out the issue. It seems I had been maxing out my Growth part and not using the Tsumitate part. All is sorted now.

Thanks for the support on this!
