What's with all the years-old threads being exhumed?

I don't know about phpBB and if it offers such things, but in the software we were using, we could lock out member post editing after x seconds/minutes. (There was also an option to not allow any edits).

Oooh, that sounds promising. Yes, not seeing much need for edits after a few minutes. Will have a look!

I set it to ten minutes. Should give people long enough to catch typos but prevent this bot strategy. Thanks!
