Tsumitate NISA: what happens if miss deposit?

Quick question:

Is there a "penalty" of sorts if one misses a tsumitate deposit, or only partially fills the set tsumitate amount?

No penalty or partial fills, with bank account sweeps at the big 3 brokers. A failed credit card tsumitate would mean your in a world of hurt though.

It will try again next month, however I believe most brokers auto cancel after a X number of failed withdrawals.

When you say "bank account sweeps", do you mean that, if the tsumitate was set up at one of the 3 big banks, the system will "sweep" your account to gather enough funds for the tsumitate?
