Received my postal vote today.

There’s no window on envelope B!

To my amazement and delight, my ballot paper was waiting for me when I arrived home yesterday. Somebody obviously decided to extract the digit to make sure it arrived on time, for which I am very grateful, and will be writing to thank them.

I have just put the completed ballot in the postbox. More good news: it came with an IBRS Reponse Payee envelope, so no need to pay postage or go to a post office.

Mine just arrived today. I was wondering though: did anybody add "UK" to the return envelope? I'm not entirely convinced the Japan postal service will know "Grande-Bretagne".

French is the traditional language of the International Postal Union, so I hope that would be understood.

Anyway somewhat to my surprise, as the election people at Tweedledum-on-the-Bypass told me "your postal ballot pack will not be posted from here until around 24 June.", it arrived today and is already its way back.

The envelope says postage paid, but I am wondering if that includes Japan? Did you guys pay for the stamp? Or just post it as is. Just got it confirmed by the post office. No stamp required.

My ballot paper still hasn't arrived. It will have almost no chance of getting back in time now. Do you think I should send it anyway, or just forget about it? Presumably they won't exclude me from future votes if I don't send it back?

Send it anyway! Takes about 30 seconds to fill in 😀
