Miyakojima
Miyakojima
Hi. I've been hearing anecdotally about how good Miyakojima is for snorkel and scuba excursions. A cursory online search provides many firms, large and small. Any recommendations for those that have been there recently would be much appreciated.

Re: Miyakojima
We went with a company I wasn't impressed with, then switched to this one that I liked very much: https://imcdiving.com
Much more professional and better qualified.

Haven't been there, but we went to Ishigaki. Rented a car and an AirBnB for 5 nights.
We went diving with a Japanese organization for a 2-dive day trip.
They were competent and reasonably priced, but not exactly bespoke.
Unlucky in that the Manta City was abandoned due to unusually high temps.
Snorkling was the highlight. We had our own gear (including wetsuits) and are experienced.
The shallow spots were fun, but further out was great. I am not sure if I would suggest it to novices, as the edge of the reef was 300-500m from the shore.
