I wonder why a bitcoin ETF is considered so dangerous we need to be protected. We can buy the real thing on Bitcoin exchanges.
I would rather own the real thing vs ETF, but the etf is going to allowed instutional money to come into crypto sphere and pump bitcoin to mid six figure prices in years to come
The issue in Japan is that bitcoin profits are taxed as income, whereas ETF capital gains would be taxed at the flat 20.315%. I would much rather pay the latter.

If not an ETF, then how about a stock like MARA or COIN as a proxy--are those purchasable thru brokers here?
