good japanese learning apps

can anyone advise any good ,free japanese learning apps that people use? would it fairly high level- particularly help with reading newspapers etc..

pretty fluent -have been here 28yrs and work in a japanese company where noone speaks english.looking for higher level stuff..its really picking up kanji readings etc that may not know when reading newspapers etc..

Read online with rikai or something similar? Then make a note of unknown vocab, add to a file and use anki or something to drill them?

You can also use the Camera function in Google Translate on your Smartphone to check the readings and meanings of Kanji in printed media.
