I just got some information through about this at the company I work for.
What crap is this now?
Can someone explain the basics of it to me?
Investments:
Company DB scheme ✓
iDeCo (Monex) eMaxis Slim All Country ✓
新NISA (SBI) eMaxis Slim All Country ✓
Japanese pension (kosei nenkin) ✓
UK pension (Class 2 payer) ✓

Yes, indeed. Due to my (arguably poor) understanding, contractors (個人事業) who used to send invoices to their customers and not declare anything special since they didn't reach a significant threshold might see their (big) customers end the relationship with them if they can't issue a qualified invoice. If a company deals with many contractors to externalize some part of their business, being unable to apply tax credit will surely have them reconsider their relations with said contractors.
