Not really the correct board, perhaps, but anyway.
Monex points can now be used to invest! Used to be just JAL/ANA miles, Waon and some other points programs.
i just placed a small trial order of eMaxis Slim S&P500 today.
That will be a nice little incremental extra...all adds up...
MONEX points - investing
MONEX points - investing
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.
Re: MONEX points - investing
Are you implying my point conversions to crypto aren't "investing"?!
Re: MONEX points - investing
Haha. Good point. I forgot that option was there.
Looked at it, decided that creating a Coincheck account wasn't worth the effort.
Should rephrase this to "investing in mutual funds" perhaps?

I have my iDeCo through MONEX.
How do I get MONEX points though?

Not sure if it counts iDeCo but Monex gives 0.08% points per month for all your holdings. You might already have points without you knowing.

Just logged in to check. iDeCo does not earn any points. Oh well!

Re: MONEX points - investing
Slight correction:
SBI's points program is a better deal: 0.042% per year for eMaxis Slim All Country & 0.034% per year for eMaxis Slim S&P500. Like Monex, it does not pay out for iDeco holdings however.
Both SBI & Monex's points for holding programs are better than Rakuten's. Rakuten cut its holding points rates dramatically a year or so back.
But it drops to 0.03% per year for low fee tracker funds like eMaxis Slim たわらノーロード & Rakuten index funds. For some of SBI's funds it pays nothing.

Re: MONEX points - investing
Rakuten changed theirs to a bonus when you hit tiers (for example 100 points for 1M or something) then never again. Monex and SBI are the only ones who give points for holding funds. Rakuten started this race to the bottom and those 2 only followed so I have a gut feeling they'll cut this holding point program soon enough.
Re: MONEX points - investing
True. In SBI's case the 0.042% / 0.034% points they are paying for holding eMaxis Slim All Country / S&P500, respectively, is almost the full 0.0462% / 0.0374% cut of the management fee (the 販売会社分(代行手数料)in the 信託報酬) they are receiving. It doesn't look sustainable for them.
