Fund for short term

Post by Gulliver »

Thoughts on this fund for A Japanese investor looking to the short (or even long) term in today’s environment? It’s available in both a hedged and unhedged product and both available for NISA. It looks like they’re performing.

Normally I would agree with you but this is the magical land of the NISA where you can invest in the equity market tax-free for short three year periods. ;)

...and hope, of course, that your investments are up after those 3 years?
If you have other sources of money, no issue. But if you definitely need that money after 3 years for a house deposit, uni fees or something, it is a bit risky to invest in funds or stocks. (that is what adamu is getting at, I am sure)
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

< 5-10years horizon I'd say interest account/cash.
