1.
regarding the ones which come without prepaid envelope etc-seems these are ones for payments under 10,000yen.is that correct?

2.
time of yr when making furusato nozei final purchases up to limit..
there was a link to a calculator on here but i always have trouble calculating it due to salaries etc changing during the year...
dont get the gensan til end of yr so very fiddly to work out..
is the calculation based from jan to dec salary, other payments etc or from april to march?

thanks!
1. No, this can be anything most likely. I did 50k last year for an air pot.
2. Furusato nozei limit is per year. The calculators are always just estimates based on your last year's income, thus tax bill. Most people's income don't change that wildly so its a good barometer. Always remember though that furusato nozei is a discount on future tax so if you lose your job or get a big promotion, that will affect it.

Yeah, or just use last year's gensen choushuuhyou. It shouldn't be that different.

It's all just estimates anyway. If you didn't really have that big of a change in income this year, last year's should be fine.

Salaried workers should receive the year’s gensen choshuuhyo in December - with job changes and family members taking leave from work, it can lead to changes in income that matter enough to make a difference.

To be sure, what I have done in recent years is do all my Furusato Nozei donations on New Year’s Eve, by which time I have the final annual salaried income info at hand, and while my partner enjoys the Kohaku Utagassen. It is becoming a New New Years tradition for us to do this work in the final few hours of the year! A credit card transaction on the 31st of December is enough to do the trick.

If you're doing onestop, that's a bad idea because you have to wait for them to mail you the forms and most of them require the onestop forms to be submitted (arrive at the city) by January 10th. I assume those will never arrive on time so you will be forced to do kakutei shinkoku.

Yes, I do kakutei shinkoku every year because I have other income to report, and so not a hassle in my case. I have never done the “one stop” method actually, so I don’t know what I am missing :)

i agree ,but you can actually download the forms now right away after purchase..you dont get the free stamped envelope though unless you wait though.

was using the calculator on furusato japan..
they have an example as below...

Image
