So far I have done the following
1. Applied for and have been issued an SMBC Visa Card.
2. Connected the Vpass app to SBI.
3. Registered the card with SBI. It is now available for mutual fund purchases.
My issue is that I don't seem to be able to set V points as my preferred point service.
Only T-Point, D-Points, and Ponta are available.
I presume I would be able to earn the 500 of V points for a 50000 yen purchase, but getting the points back into SBI seems problematic as things stand.
I think I remember V Points being available as an option in my account in the past, but it doesn't seem to be there at the moment.
Has anyone successfully followed the same path? Cheers

V-Points requires another level of authorization. You need to access it directly.OwenM wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 6:46 am So far I have done the following

Thank you.
Clicking the V Point registration button on this link sends me to the account management screen for points. However, only T Points, D Points and Ponta are available options.

Did you follow all the steps listed? It is a multi-step process that takes 2-3 business days.

Re: SBI V Points Unavailable
It certainly wasn't the most simple procedure to go through but they were very helpful and I got there in the end. And now I'm loving points to buy stocks. I've only had the card 2 months and already received and spent 30,000 points (5000 of those came from MyNumber)
Re: SBI V Points Unavailable
Did you get one of those branded cards and not the SMBC VCards? (Like Amazon)
There are situations where SMBC won't offer VPoints for those (depending on which one you chose)

Just went for the basic Sumitomo Mitsui Card (NL). Didn’t want to commit to the gold until I know I can get this system up and running.
