Any opinions on whether Interactive Brokers (IB) is domestic or overseas?
They have a real office and telephone num in Japan, so that looks like domestic, but as noted elsewhere, transfers to/from IB are treated as overseas by Japanese banks.

I think it depends on which one you're using--the japan-based/localized flavor, or the US one (LLC?).
