Have yet to use their services, as I moved the dates of my trip at the last minute, one day after the Japanese government changed its immigration rules over Omicron; I didn't want to spend xMas and New Year alone somewhere in a government designed quarantine room.

I decided long ago I would not travel until there was no testing in place at any part of the journey(for the vaccinated). Seems like every month I have a friend or relative in the UK testing positive despite being vaccinated. I'd just be too worried about getting a positive test before returning.

I'm not going to travel internationally until there are no quarantine/restrictions on either end. But I can't imagine them getting rid of testing before flights... for a long time.

I'm in no rush. After 20+ years of multiple international flights per year I'm really enjoying staying put. I may even try domestic tourism next year! As for the UK. It's just my mum now and she's ready to visit as soon as it's allowed. And she was quarantining with us for two weeks at a time long before covid!

I finally buckled and booked flights whilst the PCR test to return is still in place.
I have a planned itinerary that includes a complete isolation bubble for several days prior to the return test.
And then last night I booked and paid for those expensive return tests.

I won't give my travel dates away as I suspect I am being monitoring and they'll change the rules to be effective the day after after my return flight.

Oh dear, sorry for your (financial) loss. I have recently booked a U.K. trip too. Not leaving till late October so hopefully test requirements will not be in place then, though I am/was factoring in the likelihood of needing to do it.

Cheers. In the, albeit unlikely, event I don't need those tests. I won't car about the money. I'm going to be out hugging strangers and licking the counter in Greggs I'll be so relieved. Basically I'm not cool with things being out of my control. (I've had two internet connecitons at home for several years.)
I have a biz trip state side early Nov and I'm highly confident that won't require a test to return.
