Postal charge ( again)

Post by Bubblegun »

So I wanted to transfer money from my account to my sons account at the post office ATM.

They only wanted to charge me for depositing it between post office accounts.

So physically take the cash out of your account
then physically deposit into the other account.
It’s free!

I could understand interbank charge, but the same branch. Same post office and same family.

According to this, it's free if you do it online for up to 5 times a month.

Indeed, it is free to do online. I cannot imagine why you would prefer to do it at an atm.

FYI you may need to setup the mobile token, or purchase the physical token as Yucho moves to a higher level of security.

Not everyone has signed up for internet banking. I've just got my green card though. So it's worth letting people know about it.
A lot of gaijin really can't be bothered with the whole bureaucracy of the post office. :D

Anyway I personally think transferring money "within the same bank" should be free anyway, digital banking or not.
further more a lot may not realize you can do 5 free transfers.
