This year I will make Plat again on the cheap (about $400 for 4 nights).

30 from credit cards
2 from credit card award nights
2 from spend bonuses ($5,000=1)
10 from 2x5 night reward stays (blew through about 350,000 points though)
4 from paid stays
2 from paid stay 2 for 1 bonus

Very nice. I just found out CC nights count toward lifetime status, so will be lifetime Silver next year, and (assuming we ever travel again) lifetime Gold soon(ish) and lifetime Platinum doesn't seem impossible any more.

Anybody want to hit me up with a referral code? I've got a business trip to the US coming up and will likely be staying at a Marriot, so it seems like a good time to switch to this card.

This should do the job Tony:

Great card, we’ve had some fantastic free stays at some superb quality luxury hotels over the years. It’s far far easier to use points in this way than the battle of trying (and failing) to use airmiles to book business class tickets. My policy is now pay cash for flights and get hotels for free. Far less stressful!

Sorry smalldog, Ben beat you to the punch in a PM!

Although I wasn't able to do an online registration, so I'll have to call during business hours tomorrow.
