Its a good discussion and something to keep in mind. I have caught myself thinking "I can spend more now because I make more" quite a bit and while that's not a good mindset in general, there's nothing expressly wrong about that. The guy who said that as long as you're making your savings/investment targets monthly it should be fine hit in on the head there but I will admit there is still that guilt there. I bought an Amazon Fire Stick recently because my old one was too slow and crashed all the time and I couldn't shake the feeling of "it was just slow, you could still have kept using it". Saving is good but not at the expense of your well-being.

Might be one of the most important aspects of personal finance: understanding what you want/need (and maybe training yourself not to want/need as much).

At the end of the day if you can live on less than your income you'll likely be just fine.
