Anyone enrolled in the Private school mutual aid pension?

Post by RolandB1 »

I am enrolled in the private school mutual aid pension scheme at the private school I work at and was just wondering if anyone else on here is also?

Probably several folks, perhaps more. I was, but am now retired (for 5-6yrs), so I'm on the receiving end of it.

Thanks for the reply. If you wouldn’t mind sharing may I ask how many years you paid in and the approximate pension pay out at the end? By the time I retire I’ll likely have about 30 years paid in to the scheme and was wondering how much pension I’ll get.

Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

I worked for 25.5 years at a private university, something of a black employer. I now receive, per year, about Y1.6million from the private university pension and a laughable ¥426,000 per year from the national public pension.
