Does anyone have any experience with one of those countertop dishwashers? I’ve been seriously thinking about getting one in an attempt to whittle down the things my wife can you give me the guilt treatment about ;).

Have you tried very hot (60°) water? I've found using that and then letting them dry upside down on a rack usually takes care of the spot problem. They're so hot they dry pretty quick as well.
Great idea! My water heater panel does seem to go up to 60 so it's worth a shot. But how do you keep from getting scalded in the process of washing the dishes?
