Personal contributions to Australian Super.
Personal contributions to Australian Super.
Another pesky question here relating to the subject topic. Would anyone be familiar with the tax implications (as a tax resident here in Japan) on personal contributions to Australian Super?
Re: Personal contributions to Australian Super.

Thank you for your response. I will look into that option, although as I'm a low income earner, I'm not certain that it would be applicable.

Re: Personal contributions to Australian Super.
p28 seems to be talking about Japanese pension and ancillary schemes (iDeCo, small business savings scheme). No mention of overseas pensions, unless I am missing something?Tkydon wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 2:27 am https://www.nta.go.jp/taxes/shiraberu/s ... df/050.pdf

This article suggests you can only deduct France's social insurance premiums. Also tallies with the relevant Q&A page on NTA's website and the subject page it links to.
