Yep. Part of the manen-boushi bullshit. To get the right to serve alcohol they had to check for vaccination proof.
I was stunned, as well, to be honest.
I also had to laugh when we went out as a family twice to eat and could not sit together. Maximum of 4 people together unless...you are all carrying proof of vaccination.
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

Update on this, the immigration center in Shinagawa actually has its own parking for motorbikes ✌️
