This is for companies, no idea about sole traders, self employed etc. Actually I don't know much about it at all except it seems we might be eligible for ¥1 million.

If you haven't applied yet, just want to mention this subsidy is well worth while. Myself and another foreigner friend in business both received much-needed significant funds into our bank accounts today. Money arrived less than 1 week after we submitted our applications. If I'm not wrong you can apply up to May. In the end didn't have to submit too much paperwork.
