Get an underpaid job working for a Japanese company where nobody speaks English...
Oh, I already work at a Japanese university.

So it meets the same criteria.

All of the above written goals are excellent, I think.

It's been a great year for me and the family. An abundance of work, good health and no real emergencies. Started to seriously invest in the market, began our Ideco plans and learned more about the projected numbers the wife and I need to hit for retirement.
2022 goals include:
1. sending our oldest overseas to university this August (and trying to fund it)
2. maintaining our health via exercise and healthier eating choices
3. stashing cash and continuing to invest
4. figuring out where our 2nd daughter is going to university in 2023
5. stashing MORE cash
6. working hella hard and praying more
7. repeating #3

Of course, all of the above are in no particular order. :D

Get an underpaid job working for a Japanese company where nobody speaks English. You will work too much and waste time on what appear to be pointless processes, procedures, and meetings. Don't worry about performance/career progression.

Happy new year! 🎉

On top of business related goals, I'll focus on those:
#1 Health ... (less drinking, better eating, more exercise, at least one day off a week, let go of some stressful commitments)
#2 Proper personal and business financial monitoring and budgeting ... (get serious on Moneytree, I found out that they now have a web interface... and put in practice what I learned with an accounting course I took last fall creating balance sheets and cash flow statements)
#3 Education (I want to take at least an advanced course on OOP and one on software design patterns, which I'll use to automate #2 ... and get through my current long list of basic/classic books/resources on finance/investing.)

Happy new year to everyone.

First of all, my main goal this year is to get a promotion.
My boss said me I'm up to a promotion already, but I still need to go through the internal process at my company, which is quite time consuming.
Unfortunately I'll not be able to finish on time for the April promotion, so I'm aiming for July instead.
But I'm confident :)

Then I will (finally) move out of my 1K apartment. I have been meaning to move for a few years now, but then the pandemic came and with it more excuses and so...
My finances are sorted well enough that I can afford live in a bigger place (at least where I can have a sofa and a double bed...I feel bad living in the same standards as my student days).

Then I need to lose some weight. I have been going to the gym for a while and my clothes are finally tighter on the chest/shoulders than the waist :)
But the waist is still too round, so let's grind more.

Hope everyone has an wonderful new year.
