Moving funds between index funds

Hi everyone, is it possible to move funds without selling?

Context: I'm using SBI and I would like to redistribute some funds as my S&P500 has greatly increased while EM not so much. Since these are in NISA, ideally I don't want to sell. I'm buying a home so I don't have enough to properly add to the EM funds to equilize thanks!

No.

You can buy eMaxis Slim all country or other global index funds in the future, which rebalance internally and solve this problem. Of course they won't help if you actually want to be overweight in emerging markets.

Do you hold any of these funds in an Ideco? If so, yes you CAN rebalance without selling. But not in a taxable or NISA.

If not, rebalance through purchasing. Hoew a US markets overweight does not seem too dire an issue.

I would change your NISA and taxable allocation and rebalance over the next 1-2 years through buying.

Depending on the index Em is only 10-12% of the market, so it will not take too long.

Thanks! Yeah, I have iDeCo and I saw that you can do it there so I thought it might be possible to do so in taxable/NISA.
