Between 10,000 and 13,000 yen every two months (so 5,000-6,500 a month). We take lots of baths and showers though :)

My highest ever water bill though was for over 2m yen. Our house had sprung a leak apparently and we had to get evidence of this, after which the water company adjusted our bill and billed us the average for the month.

Kanagawa prefecture, living on a 3LDK flat, lowest bill was a bit over 6,000 yen, maximum 6,800 yen. Bill comes every two months.

That seems quite high, is that for a house, or flat?
Also how many family members? I forgot to add in my case it's for two.

Ours is cheap but we are in inaka. 3300 yen per month for the two of us. If we used over 10k litres it would be more but we are always between 7 and 10.

And you almost certainly have quality water, too. When our oldest went to uni (osaka), she couldn't get the rice to taste 'right', even tho my wife sent some from here. Turned out it was the water.

Yeah, it’s good. There are a couple of natural springs locally where folk go to get it direct. Even saw someone washing his car there once, which seemed a bit extreme.
