I signed up for a Monex account last week. Their online input is a pain, so I typed in my kanji alias (figured I'd have to change it manually later).
Just got the 'we finished opening your account' email, addressed to 田中様...

It took them ages to get my name right! It was worth it though. I think Monex has a great platform and you get Tradestation for free.

Re: Signing up for Monex account
My account seems to be open, with my preferred kanji name (officially registered alias)! Looking forward to getting to know the system.

Re: Signing up for Monex account
First post here and I think this is a good thread to do it in.
I recently (4 weeks ago) started the process of opening a Monex account.
I've had nothing but stress so far related to what my "real" name is.
It also turns out my MyNumber card expired when my last visa did 2 years ago, who knew? So I had to re-apply for that.
This will be my first real investing experience after being bilked for 3 years by a "financial advisor" who recommended the Quantum RL360 plan.
I've shut all that crap down now and am fighting to get my money back and am doing my best to inform everyone I can about the dangers of these scam artists...
My question is, does anyone know how long the Monex application process takes assuming no problems during application? I think I've finally got it right and I'm eager to get started.

Re: Signing up for Monex account
I had to go back and forth about my name a couple of times, but it took less than two weeks, even with that. That were very nice about it, refreshingly so.
