Haha. Indeed. Teachers at school used to remind us to answer the question asked, not the one we wanted to answer!

But still, if the OP is not so experienced and is thinking about going with their bank just because it looks like they have the same or similar products, then worth suggesting that this is not usually the best move...
I spoke to SMBC a couple of years ago and their low-cost offerings were poor. Perhaps that has improved now.
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your response so far!
I haven't made any move yet, but it feels so good to be able to get new knowledge.
I definitely learned a lot around this field topic.
