Has anyone here invested or looked into Tateru crowdfunding? (https://www.tateru-funding.jp/) Some English writeup (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/crowdfun ... d-gotsill/) Just curious how it is going, especially when compared to REIT returns.

It looks to me like the setup is one of them taking extra risk to get a higher return providing a subordinate loan.
So my guess would be that the return would be lower than REIT's but that the risk would also be lower. If that wasn't the case, it would be a really poor business for tateru itself... something that doesn't make sense.
I wouldn't buy into it myself, but if I was closer to retirement I might consider it as a somewhat safer alternative to other devices?
