I want to send links to my fiancee about why the 4% swr work and other basics of FIRE. She can read English but she'll do much better reading directly in Japanese.
Any good website to explain FIRE concepts in Japanese?

This article is incredibly odd. It talks about the 4% rule and FIRE but then it starts fear mongering about stock market crashes and medical emergencies and then it ends. Its like the author hit a word limit and decided to end their article abruptly.

Hi, I'm a bit late noticing this. Actually like you, I have been trying to educate my wife on this and I sent her this article by the Motley Fool in Japan. They are a great source of investment ideas. I hope they'll one day offer a service to Japanese residents like they do in many other countries.

Interesting article. Does a good job of taking some of the mystery out of investing.Snowmonkey wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 12:38 pm

It does not specifically talk about safe withdrawal rates or the 4% rule, in the way that the FIRE info in English does. They mention that you need 25 times your yearly expenses, but don't go into any more detail on that, or discuss sensible asset allocations once you have reached that number (75M JPY) in their example.
As noted before, most of the Japanese FIRE advocates seem to be living on the dividends from stock and REITs, so there is not enough discussion of safe/sensible withdrawal of the capital pot. Or, for that matter, what their plan B is, if their dividends all shrink for a few years.

I thought this video gives a nice simple explanation in a way Japanese people would understand (and tailored to Japanese investors)
