High Dividend ETF

Post by RMA »

In my ongoing search for dividends yielding stocks/ETF, today I came accross iShares MSCI Japan High Dividend ETF (1478). https://www.blackrock.com/jp/individual ... vidend-etf

Right now the valuation is very high in my opinion and I plan to wait for the next correction to enter.

What are your thoughts on this ETF? Have you found any better alternatives?

I don't own that ETF but I noticed that I do own most of the top 10 holdings. I know the price chart makes it look like the ETF at a high right now but I don't think those stocks are at unusually high valuations.

Thank you for your reply. I also checked the companies in this ETF and most of them are heard of and stable companies so the risk is low.

My NISA and Ideco investments are already sorted out for this year so I will be buying these in my tokutei account. However I am not in a rush to invest at the moment as I am expecting a market reset by September this year (once Fed sort out their future course of action) so I will be waiting on the sidelines for the time being.

Looks like a decent ETF. Good find.

Good luck with timing your purchase.
Aiming to retire at 60 and live for a while longer. 95% index funds (eMaxis Slim etc), 5% Japanese dividend stocks.

My wife has some of this in her NISA. It does what it says on the tin. Some ETFs here have low volume and big spreads so you can end up with either your order not being filled or paying over the odds.
