SBI iDeCo minor annoyance with switching

Post by Neil »

I sold one of my SBI iDeCo funds and bought another (‘switched’) and when it had eventually gone through, the old fund was still there with ¥150 left in it (presumably the interest between me selling and the software catching up and buying the new fund). So I had to switch that out again the following month to the new fund. Buried somewhere in the website I believe it says something happens between the 6th and 9th of the month, and I gather switching needs to be avoided between those dates (I did mine on the 8th). Maybe someone can confirm that. Not a big deal, it just offended my sense of neatness :D

Hi
I just joined SBI a few months ago and I also switched funds. It was set at the aozora (1 year) and I switched out and I read something about a penalty. Does anyone know anything about this? I was wondering how much of a penalty I will get?
