Bravo!

The wiki has had its first user-contributed article (and first registered user!), courtesy of Moneymatters!

Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
Started a new Country-specific guides page, and began the United Kingdom article, since that's the one I know about.
Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
Brilliant stuff - would be keen to support, even if it's simply lifting information already on the forum and adding it to the wiki.
Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
Started an article on SBI Securities.
It currently has a WIP explaining how to calculate capital gains tax.
Hopefully can expand to have walk-throughs for buying/selling stocks and funds in NISA and taxable accounts.

Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
I added a couple of new articles:
https://retirewiki.jp/wiki/Permanent_Residency
Thought this might be useful as there have been a couple of threads about this recently.
https://retirewiki.jp/wiki/Exit_Tax
Related to Permanent Residence, as getting PR signs you up for it if you weren't already a target. I don't know much about this myself, but at least thought it would be good to get an article started.
The wiki has also started being archived by the Internet Archive, which is great news because it means it will live forever, even it it gets hacked or ends up going down for some reason: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://r ... /Main_Page

Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
As a newbie I appreciate the move to have Wikis.
As you mentioned, some threads are similar and go on for many pages over multiple years, making it hard to sort out the key points.

Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
Thanks, that was the main motivation.
Also thanks to Kuma for adding the info about renunciation of British citizenship this morning:

Re: Announcing RetireWiki.jp
Another wiki update
MediaWiki, the software the wiki uses, released a new version last week, so I updated to the new version (1.35.2).
Kuma added another couple of sections to the United Kingdom article about birth certificates and student loans, thanks Kuma!
I also started new pages for My Number, and the Exit Tax, and converted the Country Guides page to a category so it automatically maintains the list of countries when people add new ones.
Also TBS and TJKansai signed up to be editors
